A visually appealing, hard-wearing surface that is easy to maintain, it’s easy to see why resin surfaces are becoming increasingly popular.
With over 30 years’ experience, we are leaders when it comes to the installation of resin paving be it paths, patios, driveways or car parks.
Resin is a surface layer to which an aggregate can be laid on and stuck to. This type of surfacing can be laid over existing or new concrete or tarmac and the finishes are typically resin bonded or resin bound (see below for an explanation of both).
Find out more about resin driveways below or contact us so we can discuss the options available to you.
Resin bound or resin bonded?
Resin bound is a process where clear resin and aggregate are mixed together before being laid. The results is a smooth finish with no loose stones. Resin bonded is where clear resin is laid first, then the aggregate is scattered over the top, completely covering the resin. Once cured, any excess stones are swept away.
How long will a resin driveway last?
Resin driveways are durable and long lasting. When installed correctly and well maintained, resin bound paving and driveways can last up to 25 years and the average lifespan is around 15 years. Our resin surfaces are of the highest quality and we follow best practice for installation.
SuDS compliance
When laying a new driveway there could be regulations that come into play around drainage, through Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, or ‘SuDS’. Resin bound aggregates have small gaps where water can penetrate the ground below, so if your resin surface is laid on a porous base it will be SuDS compliant.
Naturally sourced stones
The stones we use are naturally sourced, and include a mixture of aggregates such as gravel, shingle, quartz and crushed granite. The stones can be angular or smooth and come in a variety of sizes, from 1mm to 5mm. They are available in an array of colours, either a single colour or a blend of colours. The result is amazing.
